Hey everyone.

I understand that FTB Infinity has a lot of mods and everyone has their preferences, but I was wondering what are some of the most common best mods? The scenario is:

My friend and I have started a server, and we know about some of the mods like Tinkers Construct and some engineering one with solar panels, but obviously there are like 170 mods.

So, I was looking for some recommendations on mods that make the game so much more fun, like some teleportation, armour or machines or something that we can YouTube and implement in our game.

Thanks :)

Well, one mod I like to work with is CC and its add-ons, however depending on how much you like to write code it may not be for you.
@Kaikaku has some very nice code for a tree farm, the only problem I have with it is that it can't restart automatically but if you want a base that heavily uses computers for all kinds of automation, that tree farm is a nice start :)

@lenscas Thanks! I'll look into that :) Also, do you know any mods that would allow me to do build things that would be very helpful for early-late game? So like, there's this mod spawner thing for which you only need to capture a mod and build the block and it keeps spawning the thing. Or there's this other mod which I see all the time when looking up recipes which introduces so many machines that you need to build some stuff in the game. It has things like the macerator and much more. I don't know the names of these mods and I couldn't really find them, but that's the type of things we're into :p

Note: I have never played infinity and have no ideas what mods are actually in it. Things I recommend may not be available
for early game, thermal expansion has some nice machines. Buildcraft has in my eyes the most interesting way to get items around. as it requires some taught process instead of the pipes doing all the work for you.

The quarry from buildcraft is also nice, it only needs 11 diamonds and can automatically mine an area for you though it does leave holes behind.
