What combination of blocks would look good in a house in the mindcrack pack.

I am partial to the marble and Basalt bricks.

You also have the Xycraft blocks, but imo it makes your house look like a disco from the 70's.

If you like wood, forestry adds a bunch of colored wood planks. I think many of them are part of the tree breeding. I haven't gotten much into that yet.

Basically call up NEI and look through the different blocks available. Also if you go into creative mode. Many of the mods have tabs so you can break them down and see which blocks are from which mods.

Warded Stone gives you all the colors of Wool with the texture of Stone, and is indestructible. I'm hoping for Warded Bricks and Stairs soon.

IC construction foam doesn't look too bad either, and you can easily color it.

I'm also partial to the twilight forest mazestone blocks

I hope Elo adds Marble/Basalt stairs.. and YES, I know it can be done with microblocks but what would take 5 mins outlining my base in basalt stairs took about 30 using microblocks!

My new favorite is amber brick, at first it looks kind of over baring, but the warm yellow-green color is a welcome change from the mostly greyscale conventional construction

my base is marble&glass floors/cieling with red brick walls, I use the red smoothstone slabs as the accent around the doors

can't find a picture showing the doors, but that shows the style of my flooring (there are 10 floors)

I recently splurged on a new machine room (21x22x6 per floor, 2 floors + roof access) with walls of red xychordite shield, bottom floor of white xychordite brick, and windows of hardened glass. Now, I just need to get some arcane levitators to replace the ladders, and I'd be spiffy. Made the building 22 wide instead of 21 because my crenelations wouldn't have looked right, otherwise.
