Right now I have two alvearies running with 6 frame housings each. I have been putting in proven frames from my villager trading. I am running two valuable bees which produce my platinum which produces my iridium. I have run out of emeralds to buy frames and without the frames I only get a stack or two of platinum combs a day.ndoes anyone have suggestions on how to get emeralds easily? Iam playing on the mindcrack pack, hard mode, on a server.

Iam but it is very expensive on the ITNT to turn it into emeralds. I have done it. I turned my emerald bees off because I have 200 stacks of combs waiting to be centrifuges. I might get around to turning them into emeralds.
I already had wood coming out the wazoo and it wasn't hard to set up a small golem-powered string farm. With a bit of cleverness, a line of XyCraft fabricators and about a dozen golems I was able to fully automate the production and replacement of untreated frames.
Isn't there a gunpowder bee? I'm pretty sure there is a way to completely automate the process, generikb did it in his FTB series. A machine just for emeralds. And BdoubleO100 ha an automate frame factory.

walnut/chest nut farm or hell even a mid-sized melon farm.

I have a chest for proven frames in my system that doubles as a frame overflow chest, but shy away from them as they cannot be automated.
I have:
(2) ~3-ish chunk SC tree farms feeding 4 boilers and my frame addiction.
12x12 ish wheat farm for seeds that mostly get recycled
24 melon stalk farm
working on walnuts but they're proving.... difficult to mutate.
I use golems to deliver resources to my locations and routers/pnuematics to distribute the frames from enderchests... works like a charm and granted no server hiccups it will run indefinitely.

Yeah, proven frames are great when you're replacing them manually (as you can leave them for a while, and not worry), but in an automated system, the length that the frames last is irrelevant, provided that it's greater than the length of time needed to make another one.
