Game keeps randomly freezing and skipping when playing single player

Details of the issue:
While play the game constantly "skips"

Appears to occur during map generation as i move

Turning down the loaded chunks does not stop it.


System Specs
i7
Nvidia 980
8 gigs of ram

system is running 64 bit java
Going to force FTB to re-install the pack now.

Anyone know anything about this issue?​
