Hey guys. I have been trying to put my FTB Unleashed on my vanilla launcher to make less lag, I have done this for every other mod pack I have played but for some reason I can't get unleashed to work on my vanilla launcher. So please help! Thanks

That why there is a ftb launcher because vanila launcher is not meant for modded minecraft. Either try multi mc or just play on the launcher, there is no difference between each launcher just extra option to tweak java parameter or gb of ram.

Putting the modpack into the vanilla launcher wouldn't reduce the lag, as it isn't the launcher that causes lag. If anything, the FTB launcher is faster because it allows for custom java arguments.

Even if you're really determined, I don't think tech support would help you, and usually they'd be the people to go to.

I'm guessing it simply has to do with the fact that vanilla now ships with a newer version of LWJGL. You could get the same effect by updating it manually.

It may have to do with custom launchers opening a different process, if he's on a laptop. I had to manually designate the Java process to use my graphics card instead of the integrated piece of crap and I got a massive performance boost (read; from unplayably slow to >60 fps) from it.

Yes, it's easy. Here's a how-to: http://superuser.com/questions/484962/how-to-force-my-laptop-to-use-the-discrete-gpu

In your case, you need to force "java.exe" and/or "javaw.exe" to use your discrete GPU. Sometimes it also helps setting the Windows power plan to maximum performance, though that can also reduce battery life for obvious reasons.

Applies to Nvidia based laptops only, but I'm sure that if AMD has this issue as well then googling for it will yield a solution.

If you don't have a laptop, you do not have this issue and don't need to worry about it.
