Windows .jar FTB unexpectedly closes. OpenAL error

I've been having this same problem and it's a bit irritating.

I've recently force updated the launcher, recently installed the latest version of Java, reduced the amount of memory allocated to my FTB launcher down from 4 to 2.5, AND I've updated my graphics card drivers.

None of it seems to help.

Your EAV was not the same

Did that fix work for you?

Kinda...I haven't crashed but my sound is now gone completely. XD I'm tinkering with it now.

Usually when sound doesn't work, a restart of the minecraft instance and launcher works.
