Problem FTB Lite server Nether not working

I run an FTBLite server through an external source (I rent a server) and the nether does not work. I can light portals, but when I stand in one the screen gets to the maximum level of purple waviness before you would normally teleport and stays there. This continues indefinitely. Help please

Have you checked the server.properties to make sure Nether is enabled? When I used to rent servers I found that some hosts disabled the nether by default.

if you rejoin the server you are int he nether, right ?

could you pastebin a log (both client and server)
