Problem ftb launcher: ftb academy : an unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed ftb launcher

i want to make a server in ftb academy 1.4.0 that i can only get from ftb launcher (doesnt have the version i want in curse forge app) but every time i hit play the game crashes immidiatly . ive tried deleting the webcache it didnt work . i tried reinstalling the modpack and the launcher (neither worked) any ideas???

*update* i had the same problem with ftb continuum
