FTB Infinity Evolved

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. So I'm trying to create an FTB Infinity Evolved Server for me and some friends. I downloaded the FTB launcher and Overwolf.

When I click to "Download Server" it downloads a "serverinstall_23_99.exe" file. I was under the impression this should be a .zip that I can extract then run the server using a "ServerStart.bat" file or something. Should I be getting this? Is there a way around this?

Just to add. When I run the .exe (as admin)
It asks me for a directory and I use "current directory. It asks me to confirm I type "y" then it pops up with "Performing Installation" then "Getting downloads for forge universal" then just closes and nothing happens.

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Make sure you have java 8 64-bit installed on your system.

If you have any 3rd party antivirus software, make sure to add exceptions/whitelist for java and for the folder where you run the installer.

Also - you should not run the installer as admin.

I have Java 8 64-bit installed. I don't have any 3rd party software as I use windows security. I added the folder, the file and all .jar files as exceptions through this.
I then try running it and the same thing happens.

(Update): I instead used the Cmd to run the file after moving it higher on my local disk.
3 of the installations do fail however:
Error downloading https://dist.modpacks.ch/unknownmods/unknown/CarpentersBlocksCachedResources.zip: checksum mismatch
Error downloading https://dist.modpacks.ch/jds/bibliowood/naturawood/1.5/BiblioWoods%5BNatura%5D%5Bv1.5%5D.jar: checksum mismatch
Error downloading https://dist.modpacks.ch/jds/bibliowood/forestrywood/1.7/BiblioWoods%5BForestry%5D%5Bv1.7%5D.jar: checksum mismatch
I'm given the choice to finish the install anyway but I'm going to wait for a response before doing that.
Also: What do I do after these problems are resolved

Thanks

open cmd and type:

Take a screenshot and share that here.

The location that you installed the server in, is that inside onedrive, or dropbox or anything similar to that?

What's the full path?

P.S you can use windowskey + shift + s to get a select tool for selected screenshots, instead of the full screen D.S

Ok, then you should put the installer in a folder and not directly in the root, then run it again.
