As FTB Infinity Evolved is 1.7.10, it's safe to say there's no Slime Blocks, so therefore I can't make my hidden base made from this tutorial:

Is there possibly any alternative item or solution anyone knows of?

Tartarus.. I mean at work. Same thing really.
You use it like this

If you're looking for build ideas, this is a copy of Redpower's Frames- so any frame machine from MC1.2.5 or 1.4.7 should work just fine.
(I can't remember the source for this, but I think the vanilla slimeblocks lifted directly from Redpower's Frames)

That really doesn't help nor answer my question.
I need a more simple answer as I'm not the smartest person. ie: What block to use, how would I do it?

Essentially you have frame blocks, and frame motors.
The frame blocks (wooden boxes with crosses) in the video are akin to the slime blocks; when a frame moves, it moves all the attached blocks. (this includes tile entities such as chests, furnaces, block breakers, pipes ect)
The frame motor will move frames (and all the attached) in the direction of the arrow on its front face. (the video shows it needing a redstone pulse to move everything 1 block, the motor might also need power in Infinity Evolved)

Typing either @relocation or #relocation into NEI should allow it to search blocks/items by mod name (I can't remember which command NEI uses)

Sadly its been a while since I played around with this kind of stuff, and theres a near total lack of documentation about it.
