Details of the issue:

I'm hosting a server which me and some friends are playing on and we have been playing for about a month and i have never had this issue before. It started occuring after i installed windows 10 on my PC and since then every time i put in any item in my own 2x2 crafting menu in my inventory or when i put an item in a crafting table my game crashes. When im playing singleplayer it works without me crashing so it is only on my server that i have this issue.

Download the latest version from here. Update the Binnie's Patcher on both the client and server. Backup your world first

I didn't. I made an educated guess. Updating stuff will usually fix bugs though, as long as you're careful about it. Updating things blindly can cause more problems.

Uninstalling NEI would have fixed your issue too (probably), but that's not a solution that I typically suggest, since NEI is a fairly important mod.
