FTB fails to launch everytime

Hi. Every time I try to launch FTB, it acts like it is going to start, then pops up a tiny window for 0.5 seconds then just stops doing anything. Suggestions?

And then it does nothing else.

Of course, why?

Make sure you have 64 bit Java. I had both, and FTB launcher automatically went with the 32 bit one (and I had it set to use more than 1 GB of memory), which caused exactly what you describe.
