I've joined a multiplayer FTB Academy server (run on a friend's pc) - all default settings, nothing special. We have 4-5 people playing and I'm the only one with this problem. After joining I can play for sometime between 5 minutes and an hour, but always get to a point where the game fully freezes up - no log reports, nothing. I'm running Java 1.8.1_45 (64 bit) and have reinstalled both it and the launcher multiple times. I'd appreciate any help you could give me. I've also had a bug where the launcher sometimes doesn't start the client and gives a Java Null Pointer Exception, but that's much less of an issue.
Edit: I've tried the common tips - run in admin, whitelist on your antivirus, messed with Regedit, nothing works. Also using 6GB ram. Seems to mostly happen when I'm in inventory or another menu.
