Title friends cant join my ftb server

Details of the issue I created a server on infinity evolved to play with friends. When they try to join with my IP they either get host is down or they time out i checked if my port is open and it is! I don't know too much about creating servers and the stuff that goes into it so I don't know what to do the server IP in server.properties is empty as well.
