Title Friend is crashing randomly

Details of the issue So my friend is having problems with Minecraft and his computer randomly crashing. Sometimes his game crashes, sometimes his screen goes black and sometimes his computer shuts off completely. I've read his crash report myself and think it is a memory problem.
