Friend having problem with modpack starting on mac

I attached the crashlog and right after its done with phase 1 of the construction mods, it just crashes.
This is for the Direwolf version running on 1.7.10

Could someone tell me whats going wrong and how we can fix it?

Install and use java version 8 - later versions will not work, and currently you're on a older version.
