Freezing On Loading The Game

i have no idea why but when I'm trying to install the mod pack, I am unable to install forge without the game freezing before I can even get to the main menu. I was really looking forward to trying out FTB but I have no idea what the problem is. I am using 1.2.5 and have tried both deleting the META-INF folder and leaving it in with no difference in the results.

There is no crash report, on the screen with the loading bar (before I even get to the main menu), the game simply freezes. It doesn't continue and doesn't give any errors either.

Can we have the log? i think there is a log file somewhere.
 
If you can tell me how to find a log file; there's no obvious way so do I have to do something in terminal or something? or is there a file that it creates on the computer?

you should install multimc which allows you to open the console so you always have an log. otherwise there should be an file forgot the name tough.
 
There should be a forgemodloader.txt file (can be appended with a number like forgemodloader-0.txt). Please paste that into a codebox for us.
 
I'll post it as soon as I have access to that computer which should be tonight. Thx for the filename.
 
The exact same thing happened to me on my mac. i have been playing around with it for an hour or two but i cannot seem to get it to work

i got that using the multi mc patcher and i think that is what you guys wanted

that definently server stuff, weird that you got that from multimc.
 
Is this from single player? If so, you are trying to run 1.3.x instead of 1.2.5.

I don't know about the other problem, but I don't even have the forge txt file that was mentioned above, I'm about to try multimc to see if that will work.
 
I think its a problem with forge in general buzz i looked in the forums and mac users were complaining that it doesn't work any more for them. also i have been looking for a mac friendly forge version so if anyone sees anything please tell me and/or link

I still don't know about the problem I was having but it seems to be working when I use multimc so thanks for the suggestion.
