Forge Essentials vs FastCraft

So the Forge Essentials installation process contains a dire warning against using it at the same time as FastCraft.

Now, FastCraft has (previously) fixed a number of major sources of performance issues in MC 1.7.10 - I can still remember how long chunks took to load...

Are these performance problems back, or does FE incorporate the fixes?
