Windows .exe Forge and mods not downlading

Seems to be a trending topic here today. Been at several hours, using the forums to try and figure it, and still not working.

Forge and Mods not downloading when I try to update.
Did everything: fresh launcher .exe, turned off anti virus, etc.

Need a hand here. Plz and Thx

Not sure if this will help you, but this was happening to me and I actually had to downgrade Java to java 6 update 31. I had Java 7 update 10, after installing Java 6 Update 31 and uninstalling Java 7 update 10 and a computer restart it downloaded fine.

This may a problem with my computer only though so no promises it will solve your problem.
