Forestry + Tree Help

I am trying to grow Mahoe trees in my Forestry Multifarm but they seem to be not growing. Is there something i have missed? or do they simply not work?

The forestry trees are meant to be discovered by trial and error, just like the bees. For those having trouble, though, the Escritoire from either Extra Bees/Extra Trees or from Magic Bees (apologies for not remembering which) can help significantly.

Is Mahoe from Forestry or from Extra Trees or from Natura? If it's from Natura, I'm pretty sure that most Natura trees have issues in the automatic farms; if it's from Extra Trees, you may want to post a bug report on Binnie's MC forum post or on his Forestry subforum.

Could you post a screenshot or two so we can see if you have everything set up correctly. I'm not familiar with many of the forestry trees, but it's possible you need more than one sappling placed in a particular square pattern if it's not a 1x1 tree (use the treealizer to determine this). There may also not be enough room for it to grow, or it may just take a long time for it to grow. Pehaps try growing one outside of a farm to see if you can get it to work.

How long did you wait for them to grow? Mahoe trees have the slowest Mature rate. They take forever to grow unless you breed them with something like apple oaks for the faster mature rate. I breed mine with balsa to get high sapling rate then with apple oaks for the faster trait. each tree grows really fast and drops a massive amount of saplings.

Escritoire is a desk you can do bee research with. It is alike a frusterating mini game that will unlock information on bee species. Sucessfully beating the round gives you some honeycombs and a research page that gives you information on breeding and such. Same stuff you get if you unlock the bee through normal means. But this way you can discover things you might not have gotten to yet or knew about. Your character will only know the bees you have encountered, either through exploring or breeding. This is another method.

It is like a memory game. You feed it honeycombs and which unlocks a few surrounding hexes, then you have to guess the rest, matching pairs. I think using combs that come from the bee you are working on gives you a bonus...Don't quote me on that.

Indeed. Make it in a carpenter with seed oil. Think it is just wood planks otherwise. Looks pretty swish too.

Protip: Make your first match without using any honeycomb--that way, you can save it for later guesses.
