fillers set to 1 high area and give them a crap ton of sand?

If you want the hole left over wall i off and use a RP pump. Give it some solar and a chunk loader then come back a few days later. Just make sure the pump grate is at the bottom of the quarry. You can pump the water into he ocean with out it having any effect on he area.

My favourite method would be to use turtles. I had this problem even with in-land quarries from all the random water source blocks/ponds, so I wrote a program for my turtle (or several) to move through the entire area.

Turtles ignore liquid source blocks and destroy them when they move into them.

Basic BC pumps hooked up to a liquid void pipe would do the job (apart from the last layer) . Water blocks only regenerate if they're touched by two other source blocks (common knowledge) and have a block undernath them (not so common knowledge). This is also the reason why lakes and oceans begin to look funny if you pump from them, while a 2x2 one block deep "lake" won't deplete if you pump from it.

are you sure its all source blocks and not flowing water from the bottom of the ocean , i know if you put a source block on top of a landbased quarry it also is fild up but if you remove the source block on top it all the water under it go's a way to

maybe just fill in one of the top layers of the quarry completle and it will drain away
