Failed Login - "Minecraft servers might be down"

Just a problem with the minecraft servers, right?

Strangely, vanilla allows me to login.
Here's a screenshot:

Thinking it my problem, is anyone else having this error too?
 
Apparently Avast! conflicts with FTB it still doesn't connect regardless if Avast! is on or not.
Any information regarding anti-virus software / firewalls blocking FTB would be great.
