Routers are being a pain. Anyone know why my setup is not working.

The Problem i'm having is when a item goes into my enderchest, it activates the gate, which activates the filters, sending the item into the router. But my item into the Router wont leave the Router.
The Router is behind a barrel which has an Item into it but that shouldn't matter.
My GUI for my router is set to Barrel, always on top and insert. What is cause it not to extract the item into the barrel.
 
Which item is it that's stuck? Certain items cannot be put into a barrel. Damaged item/items with durability etc. for example.
What I did back when using this setup, was to have a line of barrels and then a couple chests at the very end. I didnt use a machine filter, so if it didnt fit into a barrel it would go into chest.
 
btw thoroughness didn't work in 1.4.7 (and may not have worked at all, ever). Otherwise, the setup looks ok as far as I recall.
 
Is anything giving the router a redstone signal.

I had a few similar issues with this; the end solution was a wooden pipe + blulectric engines. Gate on the pipe set: Items in inventory [the router]= emit signal.
If the item has a valid barrel/space, the router sends it out before the engine pulses.
BT engines work best- pulling a decent amount when charged. Redstone engines only pull single items, and Electrical engines use a fair bit of Eu to match BT speed.
 
is your router set for extract or insert?[DOUBLEPOST=1384289527][/DOUBLEPOST]so you have a filter filling a router that is being pulled from another filter? Why do you need the router?
 
Sorry Iv been Away for a while... I figured it out, In the Corners I had nothing connecting the barrels. Its works now. But still appreciate the assistance
