Just a little bit ago I had the idea of turning off the day night cycle to make it always midnight. I was wondering what issue this might cause or what might gain power do to it?

For reference I am currently preferring the Infinity mopack. So the more relevant it is to that the better.

Any information that could be provided would be appreciated. Thanks.

(I forgot to test the effects of beds on this. So any advice on how to handle them using vanilla mechanics would be nice)
 
Witchery vampires would gain advantage.
Some Witchery spells become impossible.

This gives me an idea for a modpack, not only is it locked to night, and can't be unlocked, but torches become impossible to make, and glowstone blocks likewise... lots of tweeks setup around that to make it possible to make things.

OK. Haven't done witchery all that much really. From what I've seen though witchery Vampires are players right? This may not become a issue for the people I play with. Would give me a good reason to turn it to permanent day once all of us were infected though :) . Yeah, I'm not for sure how good a idea it was for us. Still might be worth checking out.

Good. When I googled the title to the thread only one pack that I could see that was like that. With normal world generation that is, if My memory serves me right. So more in that field might be appreciated.

Edit:
I tested beds. I think setting your spawn with one will work. It won't change it to day though. I don't know if that is vanilla or not.
