Mac Error downloading modpack

I'm attempting to update to most recent version and I get this error, usually within a 100kb of completing the download. It simply throws up 'Error Downloading Modpack' and no other explanation is given. I've deleted my original folder and am now attempting to simply download the .jar fresh and getting the same results. The jar itself downloads but once I open the file to begin the mod pack downloads, it happens.

Any ideas?

I believe this is a problem with the way the download is packaged. I don't have a mac, so I can't confirm it.
I also believe they're working on an app for it

So am I just SOL? I have a friend who is running FTB on a nearly identical machine and he was able to download his.
