Not sure. Might be in general.

What we really need is a means to all these things we can do. What would be good is some sort of RTS mod with the ability to control soldiers of different types (villager mercenaries, robots, vanilla golems or zombies under mystical control. Heck, even put in orc breeding) as well as building basic structures. Put yourself on a huge but finite map and let war take off with various armies clashing.

Thus your machines will be used to craft armor and weapons of war. Conjure, breed or employ your soldiers and feed them on their campaigns. Built impenetrable fortresses as well as siege weapons in which multiple mods work together in deadly efficiency. It would give a PVP purpose to all your designs and give contrast.

From thaumcraft vs ic2/TE platoons (both with mass made tinkers weapons and supplied by complex railcraft networks) to guerrilla bands using witchery, AM2, twilight forest swag and even bits of tech for traps and weapons.

Posting threads on the forum about endgame projects despite there already being just such a thread just a bit down the first page?(and countless more archived) :p
http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/super-duper-endgame-thread.49442/

So let me get this straight... we should complain when people "necro" old threads... but we should also complain when people don't use an older threads and decide to start a new one instead?

I'm just trying to get this all clear in my head so I know how to handle the situation in the future. I guess what I need to know is... what is the exact "cut off date" where a thread goes from being "recent enough" to "too old - don't necro"?

When the "old thread" was made the very same day/day earlier, AND were still on the first page at the time(aka still active), then I wouldn't consider it necroing. Instead the OP should perhaps read a little before just posting random threads, with IMO very little substance?
