Emeralds?

Redwood forest, Ice plains, Forests, Ice mountains... where are Extreme hills? I've been looking for hours for them. I really need emeralds...

TBH its much easier to get them from villagers just find a village with someone with a good trade and do that.

I went to an extreme hills biome for emeralds. In about 20 minutes I found 14. Three days later (real life days) I still had 14. I went to the nearest village and got rid of some of my wheat stock. 5 minutes = 10 emeralds. Seems limitless so far.

Curiously enough, in the past couple maps I generated, all biomes (both vanilla and EBXL) had emeralds. And also silverfish. So many silverfish.

My "like" on this post is not "I like the fact that they all had silverfish". It is a "like" in the way that you offer someone a bottle of strong alcohol after they have gone through hell itself and came back. Now I need to try making a flatworld using silverfish blocks. I will likely not survive.

Emeralds also spawn in the EBXL 'Mountain Ridge' biome (the red rock mountains)

That was a part of the plan from the start. Bedrock layers are for people that want to live for ever!

A layer of sand is also fun, and a layer of TnT is wonderful, but you want stone under that, as well. Good times.
