So while playing along with the new DW20 series/pack I decided to dip my toe into shaders for the first time, and being a first time, perhaps this is a really basic and stupid type of question, but here here goes:
Just how configurable are these shaders?
I love the look I see in a lot of (obviously not done in MC) machinima videos and was hoping to get some similar results, but so far all I have really run into is the 'all or nothing' SEUS shader, which also seems to be the only one people talk about. I have found multiple threads and videos about how to make things more complicated (for instance, switching on volumetric clouds) but nothing on how to switch off features (like getting the old blocky clouds back). I plan to start tinkering around inside its script files sometime over the next few days, but I wanted to ping the community here and see if other people have tried this or have suggestions for other solultions/shaders?
I love the shadows, lights, reflections, and waters, but at least on my system the waving tree leaves look, well, not good, and the whispy clouds just feel a bit too out of place.
