disabling certain mods

How would I go about disabling a mod on the curse client of FTB, can't get into a server with some mods that are automatically installed with the pack so I click on the mods I need to disable and when I click disable it doesn't do anything, and some other mods don't even have the option to disable them

When you click on an installed pack, click on the three dots on the top right corner and click settings. There should be an option to unlock the pack, after you unlock it you can install and delete mods.
