Direwolf20 1.6.4 Energy Conduit not working

Is it just me or is the redestone energy conduit in direwolf not working? When connected to objects it does not show the input or output arrows and when clicked upon by a crescent hammer the connection goes transparent. The redstone energy cell also does not provide energy even when placed next to a device.

Thermal expansion has changed. The conduits no longer need a direction defined. Also, the energy cells work similarly to the machines in that you specify the output sides and input sides.
