I have been lagging a lot every time i open my inventory.. so i noticed that it was NEI that was lagging me. Every time i open my inventory it loads the recipes, so i looked into it and noticed there was a lot of unnecessary recipes like the micro blocks from red power. SO my question is, is it possible to disable some nei recipes like all the micro blocks?

Yes you can disable pretty much everything you want: click on the subsets button (open your inventory with nei enabled, the subsets button is on the top in the middle), and rightclick on everything you don't want to show up in nei. The disabled stuff should get greyed in the subset list and disappear from the right... The redpower microblocks are a bit hard to find, you have to scroll down (mousewheel) to the bottom of the subsets list to find the redpower subcategories...

I tried it and I still get the huge lag spike when opening my inventory.. I disable almost all the recipes but still, I lagged.

if you think it's NEI, and you don't really need it, you can also just turn it off.
also a good way to see if it is actually NEI

well, you could try asking for support at the NEI topic on the minecraftforums and see if they can help you fix the problem.
