Diamond Ore Symbol?

I just got the diamond ore symbol for Mystcraft and it's not working whenever I put it into a book. Can anyone help me out with an exact way to write my books because I don't really know how to do that with the new version either.

Have you written a standard book yet? In it, replace your solid terrain page symbol with the diamond ore symbol. An example can be seen in DireWolf20's mod spotlight on the new MystCraft (

Put the notebook on your hotbar, and then right click it with it selected.

That is with a notebook. You can then use the notebook to directly write to a descriptive book at 10:22.

Well it's still going quite terribly so I'll just go ahead and ask this, am I allowed to put it Diamond Ore -> Desert Biome -> Single Biome -> Flat ? For some reason I feel like this should work based on his video, but it's not working..


The only other things that I could think I would be able to make out of another block are Lakes, Crystals, and Obelisks. Would you know if any of them work?

Now that, I do not know. Try replicating his exact book in a creative world, and making sure it works. From there, try making a small change to it, until you either get where you want to go, or it does not work. Diamond ore might not be able to work in some cases, for a possible example, so this will help you find out the bounds.

I got a NICE desert biome and with Quantum Legs and Boots of the Traveler, I was able to travel endlessly in that desert to find the Mystcraft Temples where pages are located. I did that for at least 2 hours, and I have a LOOOOOOT of pages at this point. What makes the desert biome nice, is that it came from my FIRST random descriptive book, and it's endless, with only a mining fatigue and weakness enchant (Kinda useless when all I do is super-sprint). Try to find an endless desert biome and do the same for the pages. After getting Diamond and Tendrils, first thing I tried was what DireWolf did, and wow.. I'm loaded now.

Oh gosh, I guess that means I'm going to have to start up on my ThaumCraft and really get going further down the IC2 line... I have basic machines, a lappack, drill, and mining laser for IC2 right now and I've just been farming Silverwood trees is all for TC. This is going to stink...

Yeah, instability is NOT easily avoided. You could always try using turtles and ender chests, though.
