EDIT: Just clarifying things up, I am not asking you to update the mod for me, I made this mod a few months ago, but then I lost interest in modding/IPlayLessMinecraft. As the idea of this mod is, imo, quite awesome, I felt that it shouldn't rot in a forgotten Git Repo. Feel free to continue the development. :)

Hello! =)

4 months ago, I've made a mod that allows you to make create custom discs for Minecraft with 2 other persons.
However, having lost interest in Minecraft Modding(development of them, I still play occasionally.), the mod became outdated, and no one works on it anymore.
Which I think, is a shame, because it is such an awesome idea :)

The mod was designed to be fully customisable (via config files) - and was licensed under the MMPL(Minecraft Mod Public License).
You can browse the github for the mod here: https://github.com/DarkSnake64/MineTrax

If anyone's interested in continuing the development, feel free to do so. All I ask is that the mod STAYS under the MMPL.
Also, I couldn't care less about credits, if people likes the mod, good. If you want to credit me, okay, but not really necessary.
Just another thing, please don't distribute the mod behind "URL Shorteners that pay you" (such as adfly).
Donation buttons are okay.

EDIT: Just adding a suggestion for a feature, that I tried to implement(without success, but I think I at least could make the creepers drop blank records(used to craft modded records)) when I was still working on the mod, is make the records drops from creepers when shot by skeletons. ;) (This is not a request, just a suggestion.)

Thanks,
Have fun :)

If you want it so bad why don't YOU learn java and update it yourself?
Oh, sorry... but that's not right...

He's the mod author, and is releasing his mod to open source because he doesn't care to do minecraft modding anymore. This snarky response is for those who show up and say 'someone please update this mod that someone else wrote because I want it'.

Please check the OP, and try your snark again.

Exactly :)
However, the mod was open source from the first bit of code. ;)

If I didn't know Java I wouldn't have made the mod. Also, as it has already been said, I'm not looking for someone to update it for me.

NosePicker5555 you should be ashamed of yourself. DarkSnake thank you for your work and the open release of it into the community. I specifically registered just to let you know that it is very much appreciated.

Also 1.5.2 release for those looking for it.
https://mega.co.nz/#!9QYQHBIK!XX6JMDxBiOI4Khqy5aXMPDSgMDYO_ytsDMmvcawNmH4
1. Download Version 1.2 for 1.5.2+ (Configs are fixed!)
2. Drag and Drop into your /mods folder within .minecraft
3. Run the game, make sure it's working.
~ If it errors, it could be due to not having the latest forge installed or you've not deleted the meta-inf folder within minecraft.jar
4. A new folder will be made .minecraft/resources/mod/streaming
5. Find a song you want and upload it to http://audio.online-.../convert-to-ogg
6. Drop the converted now .ogg music file into the mod/streaming folder.
7. Go to .minecraft/config and open mMineTrax.cfg
8. Under the general tab 'I:NumberOfDiscs=10', Change to the amount of discs you wish to use ( you can keep default )
9. We'll use 0 in this example

0 {
S:SongAuthor=author
S:SongFilename=songname
S:SongTitle=title
}
1 {
S:SongAuthor=author
S:SongFilename=songname
S:SongTitle=title
}
...

When entering the songname, make sure to enter the full name but do not include the .ogg extension at the end.

10. Play, grab the disc ( Creative works better ), put it into a jukebox and enjoy.
