Curse Launcher Crash

So I wanted to play sky factory 2.5 so I downloaded the Curse Launcher. I downloaded sky factory 2.5 but when I tried to load MC up it crashed. Can anybody tell me how to fix this?
 
can you put your crash log either on pastebin or just copied onto this thread?

by the looks of it your java version is way out of date. the current java version is version 1.8.0_131, unless you have java 1.7.0 or higher pretty much no (modded) minecraft instance will load. head to the java website and download the latest java 64-bit version. I hope it helps!
 
No I downloaded Java 8 for mac but I still crash when loading my game
 
are you using the curse launcher? if so go into your settings for minecraft. you may need to increase the ram it can use.
 
open curse/twitch launcher > click on gear at bottom left > click on minecraft > scroll down, check the java version is set to "always latest version" or the one you just downloaded > scroll again and adjust the slider bar to have at least 4gb of ram.
 
java may also require a computer restart to actually start working. if the above didnt work, try the steps again after the computer is restarted
