Crashing with no crash log

I have made a mod compilation based on the 1.5.2 no gregtech pack. I have upgraded every mod from that pack to its most recent version and added Rei's and inventory tweaks. In single player, randomly, while i'm playing, my entire game closes completely for no apparent reason anywhere from 5 min to 60 min into playing producing no crash log. I was wondering if someone could suggest some way i could find out what is causing the crash so i can remove and report the problem.

Does this mean you do not use the FTB launcher? (Because the launcher should always deliver a console log)
If you don't use the FTB launcher and you don't run FTB (but your own mod compilation), then FTB is not really responsible for the problems you encounter and I'm not sure whether this forum would be the appropriate place for asking your question.

I do use the FTB launcher I've just been updating my mods which are all the FTB 1.5 ngt mod compilation (with a couple added client mods). The console crashes with the entire game everything just goes poof and there is no recorded crash log.
