Closed Crash on Start up

Just spitballing here, we had the same result for a friend when attempting to start his game - that was directly related to a version of Optifine he was using - he swapped to a version a friend was using that could start the game and it solved his problem. might this be your case aswell? i cannot provide optifine versions as i was not present when they fixed the issue.

I know, the log i was emailed did not contain any pointers to that either, but as his log is almost identical i felt it would be good to mention it, as the person who did have the optifine solved only after going through several steps including reinstalling FTB pack in new locations, checking, wiping and reinstalling java versions, only after this it turned out he had resource packs and such related on top of the FTB pack, so i thought it would be fine to actually point that out incase he is using anything down that line which might cause an issue with the pack or vanilla 1.12.2
