Hi, it seems anytime I ever create a world in Modded Minecraft, it gets corrupted within a week. I quit the world and game properly. Does anyone know any reason why this might be happening?

world reloads world reloads are the key or Mc edit to reset the corrupt chunks

Sometimes I read through a thread and think, "what language is this?" The words are English, but the sentences have no meaning...

There's nothing anyone can do to help you when the best we're given to work with is "modded Minecraft". If you're using an FTB pack, it's helpful to name the pack. That way if there's a known issue with that pack it's much easier for people to recognize the issue and lend a hand.

It's like saying every time you eat food you get explosive diarrhea and stomach cramps. The problem/solution is very different when that food is a spinach salad with a brick of cheese vs. a raw chicken sandwich. We can't help you unless you bring us specifics.

I'd check each hard drive for filesystem errors. A slightly-munged filesystem could be the cause.

I mean whenever I use any modpack. It happened in Unleashed, Direwolf20, Ultimate and Unhinged.[DOUBLEPOST=1382873258][/DOUBLEPOST]And by corruption, I mean corrupted chunks, which have all my stuff in.

Ok, so you've established that the whole world isn't getting corrupted - only chunks you've been working in. That's a start.

How did they "corrupt"? Did they revert back to their initial state before you built in them, empty out entirely, or did something else happen to them?

Hopefully, not ALL chunks you've been messing with are affected. Have a think about the sort of machines or systems you place in the affected chunks - consider tanks, chunk loaders, or other systems, and see if you can recall any patterns as to what was in the chunks that corrupted.

(Did no one else play Civilization?)

Well, it starts with a message in the log, something like "Squid in wrong location", then it will start lagging a bit. The next time I load in, all the chunks will load slowly, and just when I load in, for like 2 minutes, there might be lag as in I might click a chest and its GUI might open a few minutes later. A few more times, then it becomes unbelievably laggy, which renders it unplayable. I tried the thing where you switch the data files with a new worlds files but it doesn't work half the time but when it does, it only works for a day before it gets corrupted again

So nothing in the game "looks" wrong, everything stays in its proper place, but you get odd log messages and the game slows down dramatically.

Does it speed up to normal if you wander from your base a short way then look away from it? What if you wander far enough away that those chunks unload (break any chunk loaders if you have to, then jump through a nether portal for eg)?

What're the exact log messages?

Are you using 64 bit java?
My guess is you're not.

Also that is not corruption, that's just lag.

I can't do the unload chunks thing with my corrupted save because for some reason, the latest one crashes my MC whenever I load it. Also, I do use 64 bit Java[DOUBLEPOST=1382876482][/DOUBLEPOST]I might just get a cheap server that automatically backs up the world data because I always seem to forget to backup.

ok so yes the evil squid have taken your world too they attacked my worlds once per every 2 weeks so every day of playing I would just make a world reload folder which currently has 5 gigabits worth of data in worlds the only hing can do is have world reloads and keep reloading it until they get bored and leave you be this may take about 3 months and remember save save save save
