Windows .exe Constant Crash After Placing a Block

I was playing in a single player game FTB Ultimate 1.0.1 Minecraft 1.4.7 and my game abruptly crashed when placing a block (one-way glass) and the game is no longer accessible.

I would really like to know if the game is salvageable. I spent about 6 hours building a structure and would like to have it back.

Interesting user name......

1. BACKUP EVERYTHING you do not want to chance losing.
2. Delete:
   1. FTB launcher
   2. Your FTB install folder
   3. The FTBServer folder (it's in the %appdata% folder)
3. Create a folder called C:\FTB\
4. Restart the computer
5. Then....
   1. Redownload FTB
   2. Place it in the C:\FTB\ Folder
   3. Right click it and send a shortcut to the desktop.
   4. Start FTB and if all is well it will ask you to set the install folder, set it to c:\FTB\

Now...
