Computercraft and Big Reactors

I'm trying to figure out how to control a Big Reactor with a Computercraft computer, and while I found a wiki page listing the commands to use, I can't manage to actually connect the computer to the reactor. I've tried putting it right next to the Reactor Computer Port block, or connecting it with a wired modem, but no go.

Can you put your cc code here? I'm fairly sure you have to wrap it as a peripheral.

Ok, updating to CC 1.6.3 seems it might have fixed it. Gonna go fiddle around and see if it works.
