I'm playing FtB Unleashed, and I swear to god the chocolate frames are working differently in alvearies than they used to.

First off, I've noticed that all frames degrade quicker in alvearies than apiaries. Which is fine, but annoying that it wasn't mentioned on the wiki, lol. But the big thing is this, when playing on Mindcrack, I thought that 6 choco frames would pretty much cause any bee I put in there to die in 1 or 2 cycles. But they're not dieing that fast anymore. Even one that has a really short lifespan seems to still go 5+ cycles.

what version of Unleashed are you playing?
Sengir recently changed it so that when you work your bees too much, they can degrade into swarmer bees.
though that doesn't seem to be the case here, so maybe Binnie might have nerfed the frames in a recent version (thus asking what version you're running)

I'm playing the recommended version. But yeah, I just saw a thing here http://wiki.feed-the-beast.com/Frames talking about how frame values have changed, and that they have a max now. So 3 choco frames will reduce the life to 50%, more than that does nothing extra. And I just came across that myself by seeing how long a given bee lived in an apiary w 3 frames, and an alveary w 6. Blarg. No more ultra fast bee breeding I guess, lol.

nope, you can thank direwolf for that ;)
after Sengir saw dire's uberbreeder on forgecraft Sengir decided to nerf the frames :p

It's OK, I can understand why. I mean it's easy to get the mutation rate up to 100%, and then being able to have them die after one cycle, made it kinda ridiculous. The annoying part is that the wiki I use hasn't been updated to reflect thenew info. And I can use necrotic frames to deuce the llifespan by quite a bit. Just have to be careful about turning them into swarmers if I use too many, lol.
