There are some informational and graphical mods that run client side and have little to no impact on the server itself. However, would there be a way to allow a user to install them if they wanted to, but not force them to?

Examples:
* Optifine
* Inventory Tweaks
* REI's Minimap

Maybe other people know of others that fit this category.

I believe you just drop the mods in the instMods folder inside of FTBBETAA which will be where ever you are running your launcher from.

Which would have to be done, by hand, every time the pack updates and clears out the mods folder. It would also have to be done by the end user. I'm asking if it could be possible that, when I request a Mod Pack, I can say "Don't force people to use optifine, but if they want it, allow them to download and run this new one." That way, I can test optifine and make sure it works with the rest of my pack as well. And I know that every one of my users is using a version that I know works well with the version of Minecraft I have selected.
