So ive got my sc farmers and loggers unloading into cargo managers. Ive got the wheat/potatoes/carrots unloading into line via wood & stone transport pipes. That works great.

My problem comes from the oak, Birch, Spruce farms. When i set a wooden pipe to pump stuff out, it does take from the fuel storage section of the cargo manager. How would i set it up to keep the fuel full or not go out of the manager? Am I better off just adding cargo loaders and filling them up with charcoal that i make from the logs? As the tree cutters are both solar/wood-coal fueled engines and when the trees spread their leaves no sunlight gets to the solar pannels on the cutter and they stop running.

Use the Cargo Distributor. It takes items from the cargo manager and allows you to pipe them out much more efficiently. You can even tell it what items you want to take from the manager to be piped out, so you can keep the fuel inside.

That thing looks amazing, but its not an option in the beta pack :( It does not show up in the item search, and i tried making it via the instructions on the page you linked and it does not combine into anything.

Ah, oops. Apparently alpha 28 was a 1.4.4/1.4.5 build.

Are advanced wooden pipes in BC or were those part of additional pipes?

Well, if you have the resources...you could use a diamond pipe. Have one color hold coal and another hold the items you want in your chest. Then pipe the color that has coal back to the manager.

A bit ugly, but it might work? Though, you'd have to see which side of the manager the coal pipes into and set that to be the engine refill.

it is ugly, but if you pipe into the cargo manager from below, it ends up in slot 1. I think i am going to have to use an item loader, it just keeps cyceling the coal and not doing anything with the full chests of saplings and logs
