Can't run launcher (antivirus & fail to create file)

Title explains it all.

Trying to run the launcher, avast has a fit saying that the file is trying to install a IPD.Generic File, which I have found out is a common false positive. I exclude the launcher from avast, but windows tells me that it cannot create some files. First file was a attach.dll file and now its a FTBApp/FTBapp.lnk file. Anyone have any fix to this? Could it be Windows?

No it's not windows - the culprit is most likely your 3rd party Antivirus - sort out the exception for all locations needed, and if that's not possible - remove the AV and try again. (replace with something else if it comes to that)

If you don't want to do that - contact AVAST for support with the issue caused by their software.
