Cant punch wood

I'm having a bit of an odd problem. Using Dierwolf20 (v1.0.8) Like the description says i cant punch wood, or anything for that matter. Anything that takes more then one hit to break with my hand i cant do it. I wont even swing more then once unless i repeatedly hit the button and that wont break anything. Now a pick ax can still break cobble, but it wont take more then one swing at wood. what have i done?!?!!?!?!?!

You are not on adventure mode are you.

I have never ran into the issue myself. Try a force update maybe.

Tried that, no luck. Anyone else got any ideas?

Check to see if you can chop wood with an axe or you can only dig dirt with a shovel, if you can you are in adventure mode. You can change this easily with NEI. The mode is between Creative+ and Survival. If you cannot try changing your mouse and see if your mouse might be sticking. Also are you playing on a server if you are make sure that the place you are in is not protected.

If your on a server, Run about 50 + blocks away from the original spawn point and then try again, It may be spawn protection.
