Can't log into server. Please help clarify issue

Hi, I had to re install the launcher for my friends minecraft server and now I am getting this message. Can someone please clarify whether I need to update my end to 1.4.7 or whether the server isn't at 1.4.7 and thats what my launcher is at....... Thanks

When you bring up the main menu, the version number should be there. That should tell you if you need to update or if the server does.
