Alright so here is the sequence of events that happened.
In the past I have hosted Vanilla Minecraft servers to play with my friends on both my home connection and my connection at school. As per FTB, I was successfully hosting my FTB server at school and playing with the same friends. Today however after I brought my computer home I have not been able to host the FTB server I was this morning.
Here are some facts:

In the past I have hosted Vanilla Minecraft servers to play with my friends on both my home connection and my connection at school. As per FTB, I was successfully hosting my FTB server at school and playing with the same friends. Today however after I brought my computer home I have not been able to host the FTB server I was this morning.
Here are some facts:
- I have Verizon Fios.
- I have set in my router to forward the ports necessary to host the server (set much long ago)
-
- However http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ suggests my 25565 port is not open. This is odd as I have other ports specified as open on that same port forwarding page on my router and this website says that they are open, but not 25565.
-
-
- I had just downloaded the most recent version of the server from the website and started a brand new server
-
- I force update and launch my FTB Minecraft it says the server cannot be contacted.
-
- When I attempt to connect to the server it says "Connection timed out: connect"
