No. Just remember providing water and you're good.

They will explode whether or not steam engines are attached.

This applies to all types of boilers as well as to the hobbyist steam engine (but not to the thermal expansion steam engine)

They will explode under only ONE condition: Hot boiler with no water receives water without cooling off first.

have 2 aqueus accumulators (with water sources) under it connected with liquiducts, it won't explode EVER (1 might be enough, just to be sure, add 2 like I do.

and in mythbusters (a tv program where they take myths and put them to the test) they blew up a small boiler, and... well, that explosion is in the top ten explosions of mythbusters history, so you get the idea how powerful it is, if you take into account that the other explosions involve C4.

You dont even need liquaducts, the aquas accumulator can supply water to boiler directly if they are thouching the fuelboxes

would like to point out that 1 aqueous accumulator is quite enough water to keep a 36H boiler filled forever.
