I'm looking at trying to build a computercraft controlled weather station that would allow me to control...you guessed it...the weather. However, I need help with some aspects. First, I know I can use Forestry's rainmaker to start and stop the rain, but what I'd really like to be able to do would be to control the day/night cycle (essentially day when I want it, and night when i don't). Are there any machines in mods for 1.7.10 that can do that or any alternatives to Forestry's rainmaker?

I know that Blood Magic's Imperfect Ritual Stone, in conjunction with a block of lapis, can make it night... but that's not quite what you're trying to do. Also, I'm not sure if it's possible to automate.

If you don't mind cheating a bit, you could use vanilla Command Blocks to run "time set" and "toggledownfall" commands upon being given a redstone signal from the computer.

Well, you could do time set night by having something right click on an imperfect ritual stone with a lapis block on top (autonous activator, or turtle MIGHT work, I've never tried it)
As for daytime, now that is where you will have an issue. There is always sleeping, but that isn't an option... I will get back to you if I find something

I don't think that'll work since it needs 5000 LP

Yeah, but if you r-click with no LP in your network it just does 10 hearts of damage to the clickee... But seeing as a AA/Turtle don't have hearts I dunno if it would work, hence the MIGHT!

The clock from Gany's End can be right clicked by an autonomous activator with a day/night crystal making it the respective time. It does require a dragon egg to make though,,,, ;)
