Summary of the problem Builders Wand (EU) doesn't work on Redstone Ore

Pack Version 1.4.0

What is the bug? Cannot use the Extra Utilities Builders Wand to place redstone ore. The graphic that shows where the blocks will be placed is very spotty, as in it usually won't show up, though I've seen a few. I've never gotten it to place redstone ore, however, even if you can see the placement box.

Have you ever noticed that when you interact with redstone ore, it changes? It glows? That redstone is a slightly different block... like when grass grows on dirt. Since the inactive redstone in your invintory isn't exactly the same as the lit up one, the wand won't try to place next to it.

This is why you get spotty results.
 
@Lewel Stamp as ICountFrom0 said in his above comment this is because the two blocks are actually different. The mod author has a built in method to deal with this however from what I can tell it doesn't work all that well. Though holding shift works a treat in most cases. Nevertheless there's nothing I can do. This is just Minecraft behaviour.
