Hello! I've been playing on Dire's 1.10.2 mod pack and just realized some mods I used to use in 1.7.10 isn't apart of the 1.10.2 mod pack, haven't been updated. So Thermal Expansion is one of them, so no Igneous Extruder. Cobble isn't an issue, can make that by the ***load all day long. What I need is an automatic obsidian generator. Pump in lava from the nether and do something to it and water to make obsidian. I am thinking block breakers, naturally, and some how to place lava then water in a perfectly timed way so as to not make cobble or a mess. All I am finding on YouTube is vanilla ways and most of those eat precious redstone. Anyone with suggestions or complete builds? Thanks!

TC Smelter? Didn't think you could put liquid into one. I know some mod created a 2 bucket water / 2 bucket lava crafting recipe, a bit pricey given you could dump out one bucket each and spend a minute with an obsidian level pick. I'll take a poke at it, thanks. 
Pump your fluids into the Smeltery drain. That puts them into the smeltery itself, and then you can pour it into the casting basin for obsidian blocks.
